Not bad. I'm a fool for well done sentimental stuff, and while this was not great, it did have its moments as well. Jennifer Garner, while capturing some of the nervous energy of a 13 year old, still throws me off. Something about her looks makes me think she is an alien. I liked Mark Ruffalo; he struck that balance between interested and leary while gradually warming to the situation and yet still loyal to his original life.
Bonuses:
-Andy Serkis (and you can even see his actual body on screen). Nice over-the-top role for him.
-Susan Egan spotting! (see _Man of the Century_ for details)
In Summary:
-If you like this sort of thing, it's not bad.
-If you're indifferent, it'll pass the time on a flight.
-If you don't like this sort of thing, why are you reading this?
